Meet our newest DDA coach

We’re excited to introduce the newest addition to the DDA coaching team, Sam Bassetti.

You can learn more about Sam by reading this short interview or head directly to his coaching profile in the coaches section of our site.  If you’re pressed for time here are the basics.  Sam is qualified, experienced, and excited about helping cyclists get more out of their bike!

How Training Changes You

I’ve always felt that one of the greatest benefits of training and racing is that it changes my perspective on the rest of the world.  I’m always more equipped to handle life challenges after time on the bike.

In short, when you regularly subject yourself to intense and demanding exercise, your body becomes better equipped at handling other life stressors.  If you’re looking for extra motivation to remain consistent in your training through this holiday season, here is a great article on how exercise shapes you as a person, beyond the bike.

Yes, it takes effort to carve out training time during a busy week, but the rewards greatly outweigh the costs of momentary suffering on the bike.  Stick to it!
